"Hoosiers", "Remember the Titans"- we love those inspiring sports movies.

We love ice cream in this family but also rich, chocolately, chocolate cake!

Where was the your last family vacation?
Honolulu Hawaii
Where is your next vacation going to be or where would you love to go someday as a family?
Next vacation will probably be to a different Hawaiian island, but we also want to go to Europe before Kaylee goes to college (fingers crossed)!
If you could pick a family theme song, what would it be?
"Down By The Bay" is an old time family favorite because we used to sing it all the time in the car and see who could come up with the craziest animal doing what!
But, by title, it's got to be "We're All In This Together" (from High School Musical) or "The Best is Yet To Be" (Frank Sinatra).
What is a family tradition that you have?
We just started a great tradition this year that we agreed we would do every year. We packed a bunch of lunches and filled some backpacks with gloves, hats, snacks etc. and took them to San Francisco and passed them out to the people on the streets. It was really emotional and fulfilling for our whole family.
What is your family's favorite scripture?
We are still searching for our favorite, we are so new to the scriptures. But if I had to pick one for us it would be:
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith." (Galations 5:22)
What helps to keep your family strong and unified?
Dinner together as a family almost every night!

Nice to meet you Vernoys! We're glad you're in our ward!
I think Scott and I are the same age... who knew?
Love this - having a Family Spotlight is such a great idea! Your new tradition sounds so great, my kids are to little for this but I think we need to start a tradition of a service project even they can do. So fun to get to know you guys more.
